Big changes are happening in Bulwell and one young local is making sure the community gets the inside story.

One Vision Partnership (OVP) has teamed up with 10-year-old Tristan-Raine to create a documentary-style video series capturing the regeneration taking shape across the area, funded through levelling-up investment.

But this isn’t your typical video: Tristan-Raine is front and centre, interviewing the people behind the work and asking the kinds of questions only a local young person would think of, like “Have you found any fossils or buried treasure?”

The video mixes these fun, unexpected moments with clear, easy-to-understand explanations of what the regeneration means for Bulwell. Voices from the council and those working on site help paint a fuller picture of the transformation.

Behind the scenes, it’s also been a chance for Tristan-Raine to build real skills, from filming and editing to planning and managing a project from start to finish.

Filming has taken place throughout March and April, with the final video set to launch on OVP’s YouTube channel. Short clips answering key questions may be shared along the way.

As a pilot project, it’s opening the door for more young people to get involved in telling the stories of their community in the future.
